MANISHA SOLOMON operates Solotext Editorial from an orange office. She swears she was born with not a silver spoon in her mouth, oh, no, but a book.
Manisha has been in books for over fifteen years. She has written three books and many magazine and newspaper articles for publications across North America. She started her business as a freelance editor, hence the "Editorial" for the chosen business name.
Favourite cookie: White chocolate chip with macadamia nuts. Yum.
ROSIE does graphic design work for Solotext Editorial. She's awesome. She loves to watch documentaries, a.k.a. "Survivor", eat bacon and eggs on Wednesday with Allison, and chum around with her dog Tank.
Favourite show: Wonder Woman. (Rosie still loves Wonder Woman so much that her partner caught her doing "the spin" in their backyard while taking the dogs out.)
KELLY takes photos for the books Solotext Editorial works on. She also snapped Manisha's wedding. She has some pretty cool clients including the majority of the wineries in the Niagara region and Bell Canada. She's good.
How she takes her tea: half milk, bag in, two sugars. "Do you want some tea with that milk, Kelly?"
WILLEM draws stuff. His work can be found throughout a number of books and on a number of covers Solotext Editorial has worked on. He has garnered international acclaim for his work.
Favourite show: Jim Henson's Dinosaurs. Willem continues to watch this show on degrading VHS tapes. He is holding out for the DVD release.
HANNELORE does copy editing for Solotext Editorial. She and Manisha work very closely on projects to make sure that all the typos and grammar stuff gets straightened out before going to print.
Favourite Marx Brother: Groucho
MIKE and CAROLYN keep Solotext Editorial's presses plated. That's print talk. Mike runs around with his kids while Carolyn goes off to exotic places to build educational facilities. How cool is that?
